If you only knew, how I really felt,
how much I've tried to reach out to you,
to be there for you.
If you only bothered to stop and listen,
then maybe, just maybe, you'd get a different view,
instead of the one you've imposed upon me.
If you only took the time to get to know me,
to see what's behind the exterior,
then maybe, just maybe, you'd find the real story,
as opposed to the one you've created.
If you let go of the judgments,
released your expectations of me,
looked past the walls you've created,
your own jealousy and envy,
you might find we're not so different.
If only you were aware of how many times
I've sought your approval,
your help, your guidance,
then maybe we'd be in a different place
than where we are.

Quiet morning
clean house
dusted and vaccuumed
who knew it felt so good?
sleeping child
hum of neighbor's engine
quiet - no birds yet
peaceful yet again
nature table
ready for spring
pinch pots completed
painted and primed
holding new goodies
seashells from the seaside fairies
eagerly awaiting summer's joy
but for me
it's spring
and all about spring
the warm sun
cool breezes
perfect arrangement for being outdoors
letting my senses run wild
yet calming
mind, spirit, and body
all relax
in Nature's presence.

Simple blessings
Sunny days of 70
clear winds
blue sky with feathered clouds
house aired out
curtains dancing in the breeze
simple moment on the back porch
wrapped up in my arms
snuggling in the sun
sleep finds its way
her dreams begin
my mother's heart sighs
holding a precious bundle
quietly napping in my arms
clear winds
blue sky with feathered clouds
house aired out
curtains dancing in the breeze
simple moment on the back porch
wrapped up in my arms
snuggling in the sun
sleep finds its way
her dreams begin
my mother's heart sighs
holding a precious bundle
quietly napping in my arms
